A Japanese teahouse and pond in the forest.

A super shady site and a leaking pond proved a challenge for this project. The client already had a Japanese teahouse and ornamental pond and got us on board to help with an aquatic planting plan. When we discovered a large crack in the clay lining, we got local tradesmen on board to add more rock retaining and repair the damaged clay.

Accessibility was difficult, as we didn’t want to damage any of the clients existing plants. However the finished result is a tranquil pond that complements the beauty of the Japanese teahouse and surrounding garden.
