Paraparap.

Regenerative agriculture complemented by waterbodies, providing habitat and increasing biodiversity.

A rural getaway that operates as a functioning (small-scale) Black Angus beef farm, our Paraparap client wants to restore the degraded land through regenerative farming techniques.

We assisted by bringing life back to the onsite dam and gardens surrounding the house. The main water body was reshaped and enlarged to facilitate a wetland and inflow zone, local boulder steppers, a dog beach and a deep zone for swimming. We added an additional small pond closer to the house providing different areas for the abundance of local frogs to inhabit.

We are thrilled to have seen (but mostly heard) the endangered Growling Grass Frog become a resident of this water habitat. The planting of an endemic subspecies of Yellow Gum will also provide additional nesting opportunities for the countless bird species on site.

We have loved working on this project over the past couple of years and will continue to follow it’s growth and change across the comings seasons and years.
